A PSYCHIC WRITER FOR MORE THAN TWO DECADES
Hello, I’m Jane. I’m a Psychic Writer and Lightworker who has been walking my own spiritual path for more than 25 years. The journey of self-discovery hasn’t been easy; however, it has been profoundly transformative, shaped by both challenges and powerful revelations. Along the way, I experienced many meaningful a-ha moments that deepened my understanding of Spirit, the Universe, and, just as importantly — my own Soul.
Below, I share the short version of a much longer story about my own spiritual awakening and how I came to walk this path. Overall, my journey led me to embrace my role as a messenger for Spirit and to step into my work as a guide for others in their own lives.
Born Psychic Without Awareness
I was born psychic, however, during my childhood I wasn’t consciously aware that I had a ‘gift’. As I grew older, I was to some extent aware that I could predict the future. The feelings and thoughts I had that pertained to the lives of family members and friends always seemed to prove true. Logically though, I just thought it was co-incidence or that I was somehow just very clever to have known what was going to happen.
There were times when I would drift into daydreams and see vivid visions, even during classes at school. Back then, I didn’t realise they were clairvoyant visions.
Paranormal Encounters
With my lack of awareness, my clairvoyance and mediumship led me to suffer with great anxiety during my late teenage years. I had numerous paranormal encounters for which there wasn’t any logical explanation. Some of those encounters were actually very scary. I would notice lights around people and even see lights in places where none existed. I could be in a room and see it change in appearance before my eyes, as though I was given a glimpse of what it looked like in a time gone by. Sometimes, I’d have vague strange feelings as though I wasn’t in the physical world. I would also get the sense of someone being around me, when there wasn’t anybody there. On top of that, I experienced visits from Spirits in various forms, with the most unforgettable being a poltergeist and an Edwardian lady.
Being empathic meant that when people around me felt unwell, I would often feel their symptoms too in my own body. At the time, I had no understanding of why it happened or how it was even possible. I often had a vague sense that there was something within me that remained undiscovered, but I couldn’t figure out what it was. When my Mum died just before my 26th birthday, it was as though my inner light went out. Around that time, my clairvoyant experiences stopped completely. Even the vivid dreams I frequently had disappeared too. In fact, over the next six years, I didn’t have any dreams at all. All I could see was darkness, but my natural intuition remained very strong.
My Spiritual Awakening
My spiritual awakening truly began in the year 2000. At the time, I was living in Somerset (UK), and it was a friend who, quite indirectly, led me on to my spiritual path. She often had psychic readings, and so out of pure curiosity I decided to get a reading too. I found it fascinating, but ultimately it was spiritual guidance designed to draw me onto my path.
As my path unfolded, I was guided to undertake a healing journey. So I booked my first experience of Reiki, even though I had little knowledge of it at the time. Unbeknown to me—as it wasn’t something that I was consciously seeking—I was also about to meet my Reiki teacher, Elizabeth Bradley. Over the course of the following year, I trained to Master level in the original Usui Reiki, Seichim, and Helen Belôt Sekhem systems.
Logic Vs Intuition
Soon after starting my Reiki journey, I attended a Sunday workshop at the late Bill Harrison’s healing sanctuary. During the day, we learnt spiritual healing, and given several tasks designed to help us recognise our psychic abilities.
For one of these tasks, I had to give a tarot reading to a lady I had only just met that day. To both of our surprise, the insights I shared were completely accurate, so I felt I was off to a good start. However, later in the day, when I needed to give an intuitive response to a question Bill asked without the help of a tarot card, I found myself searching my mind for an answer. Logically, I simply couldn’t work it out. Bill said to me, “Jane, you can do this,” and I replied, “No, I can’t, I don’t understand it,” yet he continued to insist that I could.
In the end, Bill proved to be right— it just took another 4 months before I could begin to get my mind around it. Looking back, I now understand that I was searching outwardly for the answer instead of inwardly, which is why it felt so mind-boggling at the time.
Psychic Awareness
Personally, I believe that we are all naturally psychic — I see it in so many people. However, I’ve come to realise that we can only become fully aware of this ability when we are drawn to look within ourselves. Gaining true awareness and understanding of Spirit and the Universe can be a long process because much of what we learn and discover comes through our life experiences. In other words, it isn’t something we can choose to believe and understand overnight. As a result, sceptical people often find it difficult to comprehend, simply because they haven’t yet reached a level of awareness where believing and understanding becomes possible.
Spiritual Messenger
It is said that when the student is ready, the teacher appears, and that is exactly what happened. I wasn’t actively seeking a teacher, yet I went on to connect with two more spiritual teachers. Each appeared in my life through unusual and unexpected circumstances, which, to me, was clear proof that fate was at work. Over time, however, I realised that the greatest teacher of all came from within—my SOUL and my Spirit Guides—and so I consider myself to be mainly self-taught. I didn’t begin my spiritual journey with the intention of becoming a psychic writer and lightworker; nevertheless, it gradually became a significant part of my life as my Soul continued to guide me forward.
My Path as a Psychic Writer
Becoming more in tune with my Soul led me to the realisation that I carried a very strong gift, which is my ability to write the future. This gift emerged naturally and soon became the way that I most preferred to work with Spirit. Astrologically, I am a Cancerian with Sagittarius Rising and a Gemini Moon, so in many ways I was born to be a spiritual messenger. Everything I learned shaped my path as a psychic writer and lightworker, guiding me to help others on their life journeys through the gifts I was given.
I am 60 years old now (updated 2025), and spiritually, I have grown tremendously over the years. Having gained a deep understanding of how the Universe works in our lives, I no longer view life as I once used to. Indeed, with all that I have learnt and come to understand through my own experiences, my whole perspective has changed totally.
